She is a certified Montessori Coach (NCMPS); completed equity and social justice training (SEED & Courageous Conversations); and holds a certificate in Mindfulness Fundamentals (Mindful Schools). She cares deeply about supporting teachers, administrators, and families so they can bring their best selves and skills to working with our children.

Clare is the mother of a tween and teen. Some of her passions outside of education include drinking tea, playing guitar and singing, being in nature, serving as a doula, and hosting dance parties.

April Jean-Baptiste

EDUCATIONAL COACH, CONSULTANT, & MONTESSORI TEACHER TRAINER

April has been working with children and families in Montessori schools for over 20 years.  April was first introduced to the world of Montessori through her two children (now adults) who attended Near North Montessori School in Chicago, starting as toddlers.  April’s involvement with Montessori deepened as she observed her children’s experiences and saw their individual spirits celebrated and their thirst for knowledge fostered.  So she decided to experience it herself and pursued her Montessori certification.  April obtained her 0-3 Montessori Certification through AMI and her 3-6 Early Childhood Certification through AMS.  April also recently completed her Montessori Dementia Capable Care certification through the National Center for Montessori and Aging.  April finds joy in teaching prenatal workshops, infant massage, and Parent-Infant classes to families as well.

April enjoys all things musical (singing, playing instruments, dancing), as well as reading, yoga and outdoor activities like hiking, camping and recently became a certified TreeKeeper ambassador through the conservation organization Openlands!
